Albinvest

Albinvest’s Executive Director Mrs. Viola Puci accompanied by the Deputy Director Mr. Barjaba traveled to Shanghai, China in efforts to prepare Albania’s participation in Shanghai Expo 2010. This event will be held in Shanghai, China and is a scheduled world expo in the tradition of international fairs and expositions.

The theme of the exposition will be "Better City – Better Life" and signifies Shanghai's new status in the 21st century as a major economic and cultural center. The event is expected to generate the largest number of visitors in the history of the world's fairs in terms of gross numbers. Therefore the Albanian government through Albinvest is seriously engaged in developing a pavilion which will represent Albania at its best.

On January 15th 2010 Albinvest visited GBD Metal Sh.p.k Company in Vlora. The company was beneficiary from the Export Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme which is an initiative of the Albanian Government to support exporting companies. Albinvest was represented by its deputy director Mr. Ilir Barjaba and also by staff members from SME and Export development Department.

During the visit, it was noted that the firm has increased its production capacities by strengthening its competitive position in the regional market. Through its participation in the Export Credit Fund Scheme by the company had managed to sign two new exporrting contracts with Italian and Slovenian companies.
The company administrator, Mr Helimaq expressed his gratitude for the support of Albinvest. He also showed his interest to renew this guarantee as a step to further develop its business exporting activities.

Albinvest participates to the forum “Albania is Open for Business” in London

On the 17th of December, 2009 in London, Albinvest participated in the forum “Albania is Open for Business”. This was an economic meeting for business development between Albania and Great Britain, organized by the Albanian-British Chamber of Commerce with the cooperation of the Albanian Embassy in London, Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Tirana, and the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Albinvest was represented by the Deputy Director, Mr. Ilir Barjaba. Mr. Barjaba through a detailed presentation revealed the concrete fields in which British businesses can invest in Albania. Albinvest’s presentation was mainly focused toward investment opportunities in the sector of energy, construction, infrastructure and tourism. In addition Mr. Barjaba also emphasized Albania’s legislative efforts in facilitating foreign investment.
